Great on board footage.

Steve was a racer's racer. Broken neck...no problem. Broken leg, ankle, collarbone...no problem. Broken helicopter rotor...problem.

Recently watched the BSB race (again) where John Reynolds missed a shift, Steve couldn't avoid his back tire, and down he went, the bike preceeding him into the air fence, lifting it just enough so that he went underneath it. Horrible accident.

God bless you Steve. Rest in peace.

Very true... and to bring others up to speed... on 30 July 2003 Hislop died in helicopter accident near Teviothead, Roxburghshire and was laid to rest in the village of Chesters near his birthplace of Hawick, Scotland. He was training for a commercial helicopter license...

What a great video! It reminds me of the first time we watched V4 Victory together, Larry. My mother walked in the room during the 2nd half of the video asking what we were watching. I piped in "Larry has a video camera on his bike. This was us riding out by Folsom!". If you hadn't been at the house, I think she might have beat me to death with whatever object was closst. As it was, I'm sure she filled her pants. My poor mother...

RIP Steve
