May be an old thread. But i'm just getting bored, looking to change up my RC a little. is it possible to paint the brake calipers or powder coat them? or could other black Honda brake calipers fir the RC?

Superhawk calipers are NOT the same as RC calipers (only the mounting bolt spacing is the same). F4i calipers, however, are the same as SP-1 calipers but are black in colour. 600RR calipers (pre-USD fork) are the same as SP-2. Should you want silver calipers, you can get those from a 98-99 900RR (same as F4i and SP-1).

I think the 954 piston sizes match the SP2, but the 929 are different. The 929 piston sizes match the superhawk, but the caliper bodies are different. I have seen RC51 calipers on a superhawk, so they are swappable.

Like stated above, The RC51 also has different caliper piston diameters from SP1 to SP2.

Judging by seal and piston part numbers, the SP1 matches the cbr600f4i and late cbr900rr, and the SP2 matches the cbr600rr (non radial calipers).

Nope. The Superhawk uses 27 and 30mm pistons and is a different casting; the only thing they share is the duistance between the mounting bolts. The 929/954/RC/F4i and 600RR are all externally identical (save for colour) but there are various caliper piston combinations at work.
IIRC, the SP-1 and 929 are not quite identical (SP-1 has 34/32 while the 929 has 34/30). The F4i and 98-99 900RR also have 34/32. FWIW, the SP-2, 954 and 600RR all use 32/30 piston sizes.
