Hi All im new here ,pls be gentle ;)


iv owned various bikes all my life and im no slouch when it comes to maintenance

This is the first time iv attempted to do the fork seals and iv run into a snag



iv got the forks apart and im trying to loosen the damping rod so i can pour in the new oil

but they just wont budge



im not sure if i can post a link here or not but ill try

Im trying to loosen the lock nut from the preload tension adjuster .

is this something that maybe my fork cartridge wont allow ? (i have no idea what brand they are)

i go it undone ! i put the spanner end into a vice and lent on the top with a breaker bar

thanks anyways ppl :)

New forks question

while i was inside my forks i noticed a lot of damage like the tops of the tension adjusters being quite banged up



are there after market cartridge kits available or can i get new tops (the adjuster parts) ?
