Looking for aftermarket wheels, possible trade for set of ohlins forks.

Have any BST's, PVM's, Marchesini, Etc?

Want to seek them or trade me for a set of ohlins forks I just had rebuilt. I will have them sprung for your weight.

Thanks for looking.

Their site shows them for $1800. Did you call to get them directly?

I can show you my invoice if you dont believe! They were running a deal for US customers on the UP7 model, maybe the deal is up. Mine just came in the mail yesterday and got mounted today... either way 1800 its a great deal. I have some BST's and if I didnt already have Ohlins forks id take you up on a trade and buy a pair of these for my RC. Just throwing options out there for the masses. I know that Ben was selling the RK wheels for around 1600 too so there are options so you dont have to part with some un obtanium forks! But then again we already know that Ohlins for the RC isnt un obtainum forks anymore... as you can mod the FGRT814 or 817' for the Kawai to fit the RC!

Yeah, I was going to chime in here. The pricing on those went up significantly (16%+) on Jan 1st. I only learned about it at the Dealer Expo last weekend.

Retail was $1599 and is now $1899. It doesn't change the quality of the rims, just food for thought. They will most likely be offering them in a matte finish as well as the bright, shiny finish offered (the gunmetal color is the only option for colors).
How much is a set of march's? can't be much more than 1899.
hate to say it but that to me hikes the excel's out of a reasonable price range for a new company. and the lack of color options really doesn't help them much.
did they explain why they had to go up so much?

part of their major purchasing factor was pricing. and i was contemplating a set in the next year or so. i think i will be waiting till a used set pops up again.

Yeah, the explanation I got was machining, material, labor, fuel/transportation costs all increasing. Sort of the usual suspects. I wasn't really surprised at some sort of increase, but the amount was a little shocking. I have my own personal opinion on why it went up, but it's just an opinion based on professional experience and financial implications of new product development. We can chat off line (PM) if interested.

As a courtesy, I wish I had more notification before it happened as I would have stocked up at the old price. But it doesn't change the fact that they are a great rim from a reputable company with a wide range of other products for our other bikes too. :)

And I'm sorry to the OP (Evad101) for getting off topic-ish here. Not meaning to jack the thread. ;)

Good information to all, no problem and no worries on the thread jack.

I believe you, no reason not to. I was just was hoping for the same deal. Maybe I can e-mail them and do some haggling.

I don't mind parting with these forks as I have another set for my build. These ones are spare that I had rebuilt for the purposes of trading or selling.
forks

cool deal on the forks, you got 2 pair of ohlins, or 2 pair with ohlins internals? If you have ohlins what model are they? FG832 or 322?

I have these which are for trade /sale (this is before I replaced the tube and had them rebuilt)

and I have these which are going on my build.

FS. Ohlins FG 832's

OK, I just bought some wheels for what I think is a stupidly low price. I dont mind the 16.5" size as its a going to be a track bike running slicks anyway.

New Wheels

I am now officially selling this set of FG 832 Ohlins forks.

A little back story, these forks have been on a bike that was kit by a car. (side swiped) I replaced one of the fork tubes because it had a deep gouge from the clip-on twisting. The other tube has the same type gouge (more of a scratch) but very minimal. The remaining tube is also perfectly straight. There is a small touch of rash on the lower of one fork bottom (pictured) The forks have brand new seals and internal bushings. My good friend, Barry Wressell, owns http://www.kfgracing.com/custompage3...nsion_services and he did all the work for me. They are currently sprung for a 165-200 range(ish) rider.

Tuttdog has first crack at them (waiting to hear back) then Gipper is 2nd in line. After that, no one has dibs.

Price is $1450 plus shipping or $1500 shipped. If shipping turns out to be less than $50 I will refund the difference. If more, I will pay for it.
