WTB Ohlins Steering damper for 04 749dark

check with section8. as far as i know the dampers are the same, but with a dark you will need to pick up the mount bracket too.

we have the ohlins dampers in stock but the Dark doesn't have a factory bracket. So you are going to need a bracket but Ohlins doesn't list something like that on their website.

the bracket is a ducati part. should be in the 2005 catalog, made specifically for Darks.

there are other brackets for older duc superbikes, but i don't know how they fit as they weren't made for the darks, but the 2005 catalog should have one listed.

i was going to go that route on mine before i crashed it. the bracket is about 150 bucks i believe??

I went to my dealer yesterday, they have the bracket for 749 dark for $100.. my question is if i have a stock 749S/999 steering damper, will it work with the 749 dark bracket? I was gonna get the ohlins but my friend is giving me hes stock 749S steering damper.

cant you just make one and weld it?

i dont think its a good idea to weld it. I would just get the bracket and hpefully it will work with the stock steering damper. i guess nobody has a 749dark with stock steering damper on this board
