I really need a set of wheels for track. The sizes are front 17"x3.5" and 25mm axle. Rear 17"x5.5" and 17mm axle. You can leave any tires on the wheels. You can leave them dirty. They can have scratches. I just need a set of wheels to put slicks on and they don't have to be pretty. Are you just looking for a set of cheap beaters? Or would you be interested in a nice set that costs a little more?

The reason I ask is that I have a pristine set, exactly like what you need. I've already offered them to Major from this forum (do you guys know each other?), and I'm giving him time to come up with some money. But if he eventually decides not to buy them, would you be interested?

I'd prefer to sell the wheels as a set, but if I'm not mistaken the front could be used on any 916-series superbike, so it's possible I might sell you the rear alone. Stand by...

I would be interested in both F&R wheels. IM me with what you are asking for them. My funds are running low for my project. The 916 rebuild was a little more pricey than first thought. But hit me back, I still have some room to play.

Hey folks, I need to clarify a couple things:

What I have here are a couple of 5-spoke wheels from a 2001 Monster S4, and both wheels have a 25mm axle hole.

I know Thebestbear's original post here was asking for 25mm front/17mm rear, but we're not sure if that's what he actually needs. I'm pretty sure the 1000DS he has uses 25mm front and rear.

Sorry for the confusion. Here are the specs for the wheels I have...

Front = 17"x3.5" grey 5-spoke, 25mm axle

Rear = 17"x5.5" grey 5-spoke, 25mm axle, hub width (measured from outside bearing surface to outside bearing surface) = 178mm

The width of the hub is important, because some Ducatis use a narrower swingarm, and this wheel won't fit. (one example being the 800 Sport with OEM 3-spoke rims)
