Just a programing note. Looks like we'll have to wait til Tues, Mar 1 to watch the opening round.
On Speed 12-2pm CST.
Sunday's schedule looks like more Nascrap stuff.

Re: WSBK on Speed (kerlyb)

That totally sucks! Speed should be called Nascar TV. I hardly even watch it anymore! Looking like the big Suzk is the bike to beat......superbikeplanet says Ducati is very concerned over the Suzuki for this years championship! SHould be a great year to watch WSBK!

makes me wish they were showing bush/kerry campaign reruns.

What do you expect, NASCAR owns speed TV.
On a side note, why is everyone pissed at Speed? Why not at NBC / CBS / ABC or even better ESPN / ESPN2 / ESPN Classic / ESPN News, They never show road racing. ESPN shows some Dirt Bike races when it is not too busy talking about the next great millionaire athlete that can not read, is shooting drugs, or beating his girlfriend. And needs more money so he can buy another diamond studded necklace worth more than any of our houses.
So until we can get EURO TV feeds we are stuck with what the mainstream TV viewer wants. We just have to accept that we are not the average mainstream TV watcher, unless you like ?reality TV? , predictable sitcoms, or the ?news?.

Re: (DUC916)

I pay extra for Speed TV and I didnt know it was almost exclusively a Nascar channel ( and LUGE of course ).
I dont pay extra for NBC , CBS or ABC so I dont have an issue with them selling out or covering underwater basket weaving live.
Instead of Live coverage of the first round of WSBK on Speed TV,we get LUGE (
LUGE!? ),and then have to wait till March 1st to see the race.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Fox bought it, and renamed it SpeedTV from Speedvision.

Granted, Fox is the official NASCRAP channel (I think), but NASCAR doesn't own it.

TV stinks.

Isn't it funny that there is more Motorcycle programming on the Discovery Channel and TLC than there is on SpeedTV? Too funny - NOT!!

I am no chopper fan, but I do like watching the shows. Russell Mitchell was the only guy who seemed to be doing anything but designing fantasy bikes. http://exilecycles Kinda cool ideas in action: leverless clutch, smooth and clean lines, big front tire...he seems to be going in the opposite direction of everyone else including the tired Arlen Ness.

Re: TV stinks. (dr_apoc)

What would you rather have? Television coverage 2 days after a race, or magazine coverage 2 months after a race?

I'm happy to be able to watch the races at all.

Re: TV stinks. (Dave)

NASCAR is so stupid it hurts. That said, w/o NadCars there would be no SPEEDCHANNEL. So it is a necassary evil so that we may get moto races broadcast here in the United (*******) States.

I just looked at the schedule for this weekend. Bobsledding? Snowmobile drag racing? Oh Man!
