Who was on the yellow 999 that motored up and past me and my Husky on 35W?

I saw a yellow bike behind me on 35W headed north. I slowed down because I thought it was a buddy on his yellow GSXR750 wearing his yellow jacket. It wasn't.

You give me too much credit: I wasn't really moving. My 'tard winds out to 100 and likes to cruise at 55-65 mph. On the other hand, I can pin the throttle at every corner.

I haven't seen you around. Did you just get your yellow 999?

Yes about two weeks ago from Motoprimo. Road a RC51 before that. I'm usually down at first thursdays..

A few hundred of your closest biker friends try to cram into one little parking lot.

It's a lot of fun. Cram into a little parking lot, avoid getting towed, walk around, look at cool bikes, laugh at the Boss Hoss bikes and oh and ahh over the Carbon Fiber Ducati's. Suppose to be mid 70's by next week, maybe we'll get lucky and the girls won't wear much.

Dave you going to show up?

First Thursdays

I miss 'em too. Manley used to have his shop around the corner until he moved. Still walking distance though.

Duane, I agree with you about the roads here in Cali. However there are more riders and more cages that share these really nice roads with you. I'll take the WI alphabets any day. But then again you can only ride them 5 months out of the year.

With that said, I checked the weather in the Twin Cities today, mid 30's to low 40's. That I don't miss.

Its not so much the event itself, it was hanging out with many of the people I knew from around the TC area.
