Re: Who says an R1 isn't a touring bike... (Bucko)

That is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. I bet the BMW crowd are just shaking their heads at that one.

Very cool vid. I love the water coming out of the pipe.
Soda almost came out my nose.

I noticed that he had only one spare tire.....so which do you think that it would be...front or rear?

Re: (roadkill)

I'd say rear. Having done a fair bit of dirt roads on my XJR I know how quick the rear tyre wears down when you start breaking traction.

Ewan McGregor is a puss!

That's pretty amazing stuff. I'm glad this guy decided to do it. Now I don't have to!

As an R1 owner I had a chuckle after seeing it. The signature I use on another forum is "There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse; as I have found in travelling by R1, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position and be bruised in a new place."

I bet that guy could relate to that...

Yeah right. You would have to be insane to do that.

Re: Who says an R1 isn't a touring bike... (Bucko)

I actually got to see him and his bike in person at the South Texas Motorcycle Show at Joe Freeman Colliseum in San Antonio last month.

A buddy of mine who rode with me bought a bunch of his post cards.

Awesome link, Bucko!

Makes a nice change from the BMW worshipping crowd that normally do this sort of thing on GS's
