Where to buy Dainese suit?

Looking to get a new suit to do some track days this year. I got a little too big for my Vanson's so they are up for sale on ebay. I like the Dainese Nitro suit, anyone know of a place that has good prices and product in stock. I may also get a Ducati Scudetto suit (made by Dainese), any opinions on how the Scudetto matches up to the Nitro? Thanks.

We have a 52 Dainese Nitro suit in stock which would basicaly be the next size up from your Vanson 40. If you would like to give Sonny our apparel manager a shout he said he would offer you a deal on the Nitro suit.

I just bought a 1-piece set of Scudetto leathers from DucSea. Very nice leathers, but damn hard to find. Sonny found a black set in size 50, but my flabby ass wouldn't fit into them
. He busted his ass for me and found a red 52. I wanted black so I wouldn't look too much like a Power Ranger.

But, hell... I look good in anything.

Mental, what did you think of the Scudetto? And Dave, I will give Sonny a ring in a few minutes. Thanks.

A 52? I never knew you were a little guy
Hell I'm like a stuffed sausage in a 56. You need some Wheaties.

Here's some pics:

This one is of the inside of a leg with the liner pulled back.

The back protector on the left is my old one, the right one came with the suit.

Very cool Mental. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. How's the armor in the shoulders, elbows and knees? Is it hard shelled and removable? I think I've found a black one in my size for $1050, so I think I'm gonna go for it.

Hard shelled. Shoulders come out. Elbow, forearm, knees and shin are sewn in... unless I missed some Velcro openings.

Hell I think their glued in. I want better knee armor in my Dainese suit and the knee cups seem to be glued to the leather.

You’re probably right, Phil. My old Dainese pterodactyl leather suit had cool pockets for all that stuff that you could get at from the outside of the suit.

The bad part of that is... I had a habit of pulling the knee cups out on street rides, so I had a place to put my license, gas card and stuff like that.

They were out the day I binned it. Maybe I wouldn’t have broken my right kneecap if it was in.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Another thing about the new leathers is that they're not a "tailored" as they used to be. Seems that now they make them way over sized in the mid section and them jam them full of foam pad.

They make my hips look big.

Re: Where to buy Dainese suit? (Mental998)

I think the reason Dainese sews in the padding in some spots is that they don't want it to move around in the case of impact. Some armor is molded in places like the shoulders and knees to minimize stitches and to incorporate better impact resistant armor in those critical areas.

I have the Scudetto suit in red as well. Had to go a size up form my Ducati Classics Jacket (to 54). I also wanted the black, but so does everyone, and I guess that is why the Reds are available. Was thinking about dying it but why bother - it is a great looking suit. Maybe some patches sewn on would break up all the red!

I also noticed that my arse looks big in it with the padding round the rump, and there seems to be a little extra leather in the mid section, but overall I am very happy with it. At least I will be noticeable with a red bike and red suit (except on a red background......)
