10 pounds each not including brake rotors, sprockets, tires, tubes, valve caps, rim strips, bearings and spacers.

...but why would you want to ride without brake rotors, sprocket, tires, tubes valve caps rim strips, bearings and spacers?

I got that figure from some bathroom reading I was doing this morning... a Cycle World Article on the KTM 950 Supermoto talked about its cast wheels weighing only 8 pounds as opposed to 10 pounds for the traditional laced wheels.

Duh! Less unsprung weight makes it faster, that's why.
