I just got my Sigma slipper from BCM. They say to use the same six clutch springs from my stock 999 clutch. Hmmmmmm. Does anyone know of a good spring upgrade(brand)? Should I bother? Pros and cons please.
Re: What's the word in clutch springs? (DocHolliday)
you could use the stockers, or you could get a 6pack of galvanized barnett springs from chris at ca-cycleworks.com for short money. stiffer than stock and they don't rust. good stuff.
does stainless steel posess the same elasticity of other spring materials? What about so-called NASCAR style spiral wound springs anyways' ...do they just go round' or are they strands spiraled? And why?
That is my question too, I am in the market for some springs and collars, like stainless but am not sure of it's strength and springiness, shazaam, where are you dude, we need a few lines from you please.
totally forgot about these! actually run 'em on my s4. swapped with a buddy who didn't like the heavier pull and they actually solved some clutch slippage issues i was having with the stock springs.
