morning all im thinking of selling my 996 its an sps no 682 completely standard it has all the bits that came as standard carbon and ally cans ducati rear stand spare headlight[for left hand drive countrys] still boxed spare speedo[kms] still boxed both eprom chips ducati dust cover and bag for cover and all paper work full service history.
the bad bits it covered 25000 miles and has a light scuff on seat unit from where the stupid flip up stand fliped up and the owner[not me] had to lay it down he took all the impact not the bike.
and im the second owner.
bike runs and rides mint but im to big for it being 6ft3 and 17st so im looking to get rid and possibly get a 999r instead.

why are the parts hard to get hold of or something.
id rather sell it as a whole i really couldnt bring myself to break such a nice bike, apart from that scuff and none has ever noticed it till ive shown them it. it is mint

E-Bay is littered with Ducati Parts so no and most are available OEM at a princely price.

Buyers are unwilling to pay a premiun for a complete bike is what I have seen.

Good Individual used parts are still cheaper than OEM and can atttract a higher price especialy if well presented. P8 Computer is advertised for $500.00

Example $80.00 temp sensor new vs $25 used, multiply by the # of parts in a bike and you get more than the complete value.

I sold my rockers on E-bay for cores even though they need to be replated.
