Was looking at the final standings for the Canadian Superbike series and saw that Jordan Szoke finished fourth......brought a big smile....I remember him when he was Scott Russell's teammate on the Hardley's.....that dude always had some bizarre hair thingy going on....for a while he had one side of his head dyed black and the other orange with the H-D logo cut into it....fun to watch....don't believe he ever actually finished a race, just a minor technicality......anyone else remember that guy?

Not true LDH.

I always thought that Szoke was a bit of a goof, and that he'd have to clean up his image to get anywhere with a factory ride. He is fast though.

I remember doing some late might channel surfing and coming across a Canadian Superbike race on Speedvision (they seemed to only show Canadian stuff late at night a few years back) and he had not arrived at the track yet.

He ended up arriving by helicopter... in his leathers... then jumped on his bike just in time for practice. Apparently, he was a bit of a "showman"... ergo the hair thing you mentioned I guess.

After HD, I thought he was on a Honda for a season, with lack-luster results... then disappeared. Man, that had to have been roughly 5-ish years back??

If I remember correctly he had some visa problems and couldn't get across the border to race. I can't remeber the team he was going to race for, but I think it was privateer suzuki teams.

He had a work permit (kind of like a green card) as he was here in the States to work, if you can call riding a Hardley work, and just kind of forgot to renew it so the government just kind of forgot to let him back into the country....not the sharpest knife in the drawer. With him and Russell on the same team, there HAD to be some serious partying going on in that motorhome.

Technically Szoke wasn't Ru$$ell's team mate. He ran for either Blue Byou or Austin as a privateer on the VR1000. They also ran Cal Rayborn Jr a few times.

He was riding for Corona Suzuki, I believe, when he was found to be not on a working visa, but a visiting/tourist visa by the USA. He was then barred from getting into America for pretty much the entire racing season sorting out a working visa.
