Just picked up a used '03 w/ 3K miles on it.
I found this stashed in the storage area, along with the tool set and owners manual. I've been riding Hondas (ST's) for many-many years now, and have never seen one. The Honda parts fische show it as one of the tools in the tool set. What is it for?

it connects to the rear seat/cover lock, allowing you to lock your helmet on your bike. I take it a manual didn't come with your new ride?

OR

you push one testicle through each loop, and it makes a handy handle for the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend (politically correct statement) to drag you around the mall with....:woot:

either or....

Read your owners manual.

Duuuuu... my bad.
I had a quick scan of the manual, but didn't see it right away. Guess I've become complacent, after riding Hondas all these years. Don't need to read no stinkin manual. :rtfm Shame on me.

Thanks guys.

Here's what I used it for....Screw one end to your tailcover and zip-tie the other end to your tailframe . If you have to take the rear cowl off , you cut the zip-tie then replace it when you're finished remounting the rear cowl...:rockon
