I need to extend the turn signal wires that come out of the 20-pin connector and want to buy the matching gauge to solder it and shrink-tube it. The wiring harness diagram, unless I missed it, isn't like automobile diagrams where they list the gauges with the wire codes.

I didn't see any writing on the wires either. Best I can tell with the insulation is it's 18 or 20. Anyone know for sure?

Unless ur OCD is kicking in..18 or 20 will work, but I think they're commercial 18g.

The amount of insulation of the wires used in the manufacturing process must be different than that of commerical wire. All the stuff I found at auto part stores is a much thicker wire (overall), even if the copper core is the same gauge.

I guess if I don't match it exactly it won't be a big deal.
