Considering the performance level of your bike, I wouldn't try and save a $100 by mismatching tires. Buy the Powers and put the old front on eBay.

I did that once. Ran a stick front with an older rear and while I didn't go up in a ball of flame, I also wasn't a competent rider (still aren't). That said, if the tires have grossly different profiles, it'll make the bike act weird. If the tires have grossly different levels of grip, it'll make the bike act weird. I would say that it's not worth the potential problems it could cause, especially if you track/race/ride the bike hard.
