What about using the course filter in the snorkle and then the fine at the airbox?

I used to run a Uni coarse foam filter at the mouth of the OEM snorkel as well as the T1 filter in the air box, it really helped. The Uni foam just overlapped the opening and was held in place by the nose fairing. The bike was dyno'd with just the T1 filter but I couldn't detect any fall off in performance at all as a result of adding the second filter at the snorkel, even at speed.

I've since changed to a T1 snorkel but I haven't got around to figuring out how to mount a filter to it yet ...

I was thinking of taking some of the course filter material and cutting two pieces in the shape of the snorkle. They would run vertical.
