I have been riding with a friend (K1200 and R1100S replica) who would really benefit from something more then my riding tips. All of my track days in the last 5 years have either been 'open" (private or Club Desmo) or Star so I'm not sure what would be best for him. He is an experienced road rider, with no instruction or track experience. In any option we will be doing two days. Two-parter:

1. Thoughts on Code, CLASS or Star for a first-timer? I'm thinking Star may be a little too advanced and somewhat intimadating. I did one Code school and several CLASS schools years ago and can't really remember them well.

2. Track choices are Loudon (star), Pocono (Code) and VIR (CLASS). Any feedback on the relative merits of these tracks? Loudon seems pretty short, but then I am used to Thunderhill at 3.3 miles. VIR is about 300 miles further then either Pocono or Loudon.

Thanks!

Re: Track School and Northeast Track questions (Racer666)

Cornerspeed (Level 1) was great

There was some good info in the class sessions, but the best benefit was working with all of the CRs. There were 24 students and 18 or 19 CRs. After every session I'd have one, sometimes two, come talk to me and follow me around the next session and give me some great advice. I'm actually taking it again in a few weeks. I think any school your friend can hit will be helpful, especially if the CR to student ratio is very low. I get some good insight from CRs at NESBA, but you can get lost in the crowd with so many people on the track at once. Its nice to have someone specifically following you around every session for a whole day
