Does anybody know where I can get a tool that will fit the stem nut on the top triple clamp? I guess I could make one, but I would like to find one that will fit. I've gotta take off the top triple tree and need a tool. I asked the guy at the local Duc shop but he was not very helpful....

Me "do you guys have one or can you get one?"
Him "Umm we got one, but it's not for sale"
Me "okay do you know where I can get one?"
Him "uh, no"
Me "thanks"

I'm starting a search now of the online shops.

Re: Tool question, steering stem nut tool (bill900)

i use the tool they give with a grinder to replace the blades, two pins that you insert in the triple bolt and voila, just needed to ajust the distance between the pins a little.

Just so you know, you don’t need to take off the top nut, to remove the top triple tree clamp, or the bottom, only remove it if you’re replacing the eccentric or the steering bearings in it.
