Aright I did the search thing and nothing came up. I am currently rinning a stock wheel and is there a difference between a 190/55 to a 190/50 tire or are they both the same tire. Thanks in advance
Nope, not the same at all. 190/55 is a taller profile more like a 180. I ran those fro a long time until just recently went to the 180. I like them better
Actually, its the aspect ratio as previously stated here.
190/55 x 17 means the tire height from the bead to the top of the tread is 55% of the width or 104.5 mm. Or something close to that. You will find manufacturing and brand variation.
If you paid for a 190/55 and you got a 190/50, the you got ripped off. 190/55 only comes in the Metzler/Pirelli dot race tires. Your 190/50's are street tires. Huge difference in price.

I think only the Supercorsas come in the 190/55. You did not over pay. If you had bought the Supercorsa DOT race tires, you would have spent more like 350-400 for the set. They just miss led you on the tire size.
