Setting a precedent totally unique to the AMA, next year's PPIR race will be held on an undisclosed week night without lights or fans. The AMA is busily rewriting the rules on race specs for infrared headlights, microtaillights, heavily muffled exhaust systems and other stealth systems to disguise the fact that they are running an official AMA event on a racetrack that has been closed for over six months. Special spy-grade low-light cameras and soundsystems will record the event for viewing after all contestants have departed the premises. There will be NO practice sessions or qualifying. Race positions will be decided upon randomly generated numbers. All bikes will NOT carry any identifying marks nor will riders have any identification on their leathers. Race position will be determined by lap timers and official AMA race spotters with military-spec ultra-low light goggles. No medical services will be available and any rider injured in this event will be carried off the property. The podium celebration will be conducted at the Holiday Inn in downtown Colorado Springs approximately one hour after the race.
