"America's presumably anti-tax party wants to raise your taxes. Come January, the Republicans plan to raise the taxes of anyone who earns $50,000 a year by $1,000, and anyone who makes $100,000 by $2,000."

The lying sons of a bitches. They talk out of one side of their mouths when it comes to rich people and the other side when it comes to the average American. Friends, the GOP is the party of the wealthy, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

It was a one year tax reduction that is set to expire. The payroll tax funds Social Security. Social Security is seriously in the red. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why they need the funding for SS, does it? Would you rather we just start reducing benefits to the elderly--possibly only give them enough assistance to buy one meal a day rather than three?
