I got a 2001 996s and the other day I noticed that my sub-frame cracked for no reason. This bike has never been down and has 9,000 miles. Regardless, the fact that this bike has never been down, I don't understand how something like this could happen. You think you get what you paid for. I'm looking for the phone number for Ducati of North America so I can give them a call. I know my bike is well out of warranty but this is not a warranty issue. This shouldn't of happened plan and simple. I am sure Ducati will just send me a new one. I will keep this thread updated and let you guys know how everything goes.

Re: Sub-frame cracked for no reason!!! (todapower)

I think the rubber banded turn signals made it crack

Occured same thing to a friend of mine on a 2000 748 R: sub frame cracked on 4 points!
As yours, the bike had never been down.

Even if my biposto has been converted in mono, i keep my iron bip sub frame!
