Am I correct in thinking that you need SP1 brake caliper brackets with a SP1 forks and Likewise Sp2 caliper brackets with Sp2 forks?

I thought they were the same...

The reason I am asking is, I have a wrecked 2000 and I got some Sp2 forks on ebay with only one caliper bracket for some reason...

So, I guess I need Sp2 brake calipers with Sp2 forks, but everything else will be fine? What about the thickness of the rotors? Aren't SP2's thicker?

Why does this have to be so confusing?

Yes you need SP2 brackets. I believe rotors are the same. Hit up benexcessbikes (RC51parts.com) he will have what you need and he ships fast is fair priced. I went through this in sept of this year.

There are difference in the rotors, but only in thickness. They're still interchangeable. I have a set of brackets from my part out, I'll send you a PM. Let me know if you're interested.
