I have done a ton of searching, and it has only served to confuse me more. One of the things I need help with is knowing if I need to worry about shortening top out springs on my SP1? Some places I've read no, and some yes. If I don't need to worry about the top out springs, do I still need to worry about spacers and negative sag? Can I set my sag normally with my SP1 fork? Some people say yes, some say no:confused: If someone could give me definate answers to these questions before I pull my hair out I would really appreciate it.

Cannot comment fully about SP1 forks but here's my experience with SP2 forks.
I've a MUPO kit at the front. Instructions make very clear that no modifications to top out springs should be carried out and no spacers inserted.
The kit works great and I was able to set the sag properly without too much hassle, so no problems here.
Advice: follow instructions to the letter. If your kit instructions say your should insert a spacer, insert a spacer. If they say top out springs should be left alone, leave them alone.
Believe me, I've done enough damages by attempting to outsmart people to last me for a while! :woot:
