I remember someone posting a link to a company that cuts 3M clear vinyl that is used as a protector for the sides of the tank. I can’t seem to find it using the search. Can anyone help??? I actually need it for my 1999 R6 track bike...

TIA

Re: Source for 3M clear vinyl protectors (YellowDesmo998)

I found a place where you can get clear vinal stuff. Look for a place that sells lettering in vinal and they should be able to help you out. Under the fairing just behind the front wheel is a place that needs protection from road trash.
I just got a new bike and will be armoring up the places that need it like the before mentioned area as well as the top of the tank on the 999 just above the seat.

Re: Source for 3M clear vinyl protectors (Sagerider)

I'm looking for pieces already cut for the shape of the 1999 R6 tank. I'm not too worried about road debris on the track, I don’t want to destroy the new paint job on the tank from my leathers rubbing from side to side...

For Christ's sake Buba, cut the things yourself. take a little initiative. Those who wait for others to pave the path are those who wait for others, or something like that. Forge ahead and clear the way. Leaders are not made they are born.
Get off your ass and stick some gooy clear stuff on your bike and see how it works.
Let the rest of us, who are waiting for others to pave the way, know how it worked out.
