Re: Soooo not Ducati, but opinions? (DesmoBob)

I appreciate all bike so I'll be nice.
Thats a cool looking chopper I dig the paint job on the tank. But I agree with Kel. that can be a bigger money pit that our beloved Duc's. I guess it depends on what your plans are. Also keep a mental note Rigged frames are brutal to the body

Re: Soooo not Ducati, but opinions? (Mike996)

Yeah, I was thinking maybe a springer/shock-type seat. It's just that so many of these things are so overdone, and this one has that old school/bobber/stripped down look. I probably will get beat up over this but.....
I may end up with a rake like this down the road.

If you do your own work and it is not your only bike then go for it and enjoy it !..

Been there done that and a hardtaill is a mother for anything other than tittybar to tittybar.

Unless you just love working on your bikes I would get a new blockhead engine. You can get a decent kit for 21k or scround and buy parts off of the ironcross.net sale forum. Personally when/if I ever decide I "need" another HD I will just build one from scratch it is easy and you dont get ass raped like the morons buying "custom" bikes ..

All that said I would also personally buy a pan or shovel motor, Denvers frame and springer front end, Kennedys 120 spoke wheels.
