I am done with the old foot pump method - anyone know of a good (small) electric air pump for track days?

Thanx

Re: Small Portable Air Pump Recommendation? (hank)

If you're just using it to top off your tire pressure, just get a portable tank from Sears, Home Depot, or any place like that. An 8-10 gallon tank will hold enough for that use. You can fill it up at the gas station, or at home if you have a compressor (which you should anyway). They're about 30-35 bucks.

But if you need a replenishable source of air, those same stores have various small compressors, but they're more like $150 or more. And, of course, you then need a source of electricity at the track as well...

I got a small air compressor at Wal-Mart, Campbell Hausfeld I think is the brand name. Rechargeable, works off and can be charged from a cigarette lighter outlet, comes with a built in pressure guage (fairly inaccurate...but I always double check pressures with an accurate guage anyway). I found it perfect for the track. I think the price was $39.95 or something like that.
