interesting thing just happened:

With 12 minutes to go in QP, it's RdP in the pole spot - by like .7 s!

Hayden in front of Stoner. That can't be good for Casey's confidence.
Speaking of...

yeah, lucky for Casey on all accounts he has signed with Honda already. Good thing for Hayden he is showing speed at both qualifying and racing... now a win would really do him well.
I think Casey is still a top rider; just the changes to the bike have not given him the ability to ride it at 101%. Should be a great race tomorrow and it appears speed has 1.5 hours of MotoGP coverage... Umbrella Girl Parade or something?
yea pedrobot lost it on the last lap, so did RdP... guys were pushing hard on a bumpy track and thats what happens.

Pedrobot's bike did a nice ghostride though, the onboard camera shot was kinda interesting as it smacked the wall head on..

Stoner doesnt seem to have that little bit extra this year that he has had in the past. Is Nicky rattling his cage?

Its my first year on motogp.com coverage and all I can say is why didn't i pay up sooner? really makes the GP weekend exciting and I love QP. Oh ya, no damm progressive commercials!

My picks for the race:

Jorge
Pedrobot
Hayden
Stoner
Dovi

What a great fukn race!:rockon

But the Moto2 race delivered, as always!;)
I need a smoke after that race...

Go Sgt Pepper!
Hayden has to be disappointed, but great ride from Spies. I wonder if he has the factory bike now under the Tech 3 bodywork?
I doubt Ben had the factory kit as he and Edwards both complained about a lack of power all weekend.

I was hoping Nicky would get on the podium at least, but Im somehow ok with Ben being the one to delegate him to 4th. :D
Awesome result for Ben, his first podium in MotoGP. The short and sassy I4 leads the parade yet again.... pity the touring bike guys.....

Yeah I was starting to get worried that Stoner would come through and take the last spot on the podium, I wanted to see Hayden or Spies up there, didn't matter to me which one. Stoner was on a rampage through the field!

I gotta feel bad for Hayden though, he gave 110% for that spot only to lose it on the last lap to a rookie :p
hayden made a huge mistake on that turn, he went in super hot on the brakes and tried to back it in and the bike reacted all wrong, sent him wide and Spies was right there....Hayden made no mention of it at all, no excuses.

I was thinking the same thing. But either way that was a hell of a ride for him, Hayden, and Stoner.

+1 it was a great battle for 2nd and 3rd all race very bittersweet because I was hoping to see hayden capture his first podium of the year. However, if it was going to be anyone that took the last podium from hayden I would want it to be spies. Congrats ben great race.
Time to start putting pot holes in other circuits ,livens things up if it results in this kinda good racing. What happened the Stoners launch control.
Silverstone

Everyone complains about how bumpy Silverstone is. This is rough.

Something about the seams between the original concrete pads of the runways and taxiways.

IMHO you setup and race with what you are dealt and if you crash because of it you obviously did not do a good enough job.
Lost in the discussion of the battle for second is the injuries to current 250 World Champ Aoyama. He highsided and hurt his back in morning warm-up. On MotoGPmatters it said he will miss three months (!). The team will have a replacement rider for Assen. I wonder who will get the call?
“The race was really fun, everybody was going back and forth, I was able to make some moves in the corners but just didn’t have the top speed in the straights." explained Hayden

When did the Ducati get so slow and sloppy? At least Stoner was able to keep it upright for one race, now he just needs to learn how to feather a clutch :rtfm

Hooray... Ben's first podium... he cornered that backward spinning crank I4
with his tongue threw the front wheel... just think what he could do on a
short and sassy V4...
