I'll be attending the upcoming Section8 trackdays @Grattan later in the month. Can anyone recommend reasonable lodging in the area. I tried the Candlestone Inn that someone had previously posted, but they are booked.

Just called the Super 8 and they are booked.

I got the last suite at the Candlestone Inn. ( two baths, kitchenette etc.. )

No answer at the Amerihost Inn.

Didn't try the Lexington at all.

If it get's bad enough and someone needs a place - look me up on Friday and we'll see what we can do...

I'm camping for that event. Weather should be warm enough that it won't be a problem, that is if you don't mind camping.

Can you camp at the track? Is there any registration for camping? Do they let you in Friday night?

I've been told by my GF that I hold my own in that department as well... I guess that would explain the occasional bruising in the ribs.

I guess I'll give her some earplugs for her b-day.

I thought about camping but I wasn't sure how good the grounds were - I'll scope it out because it sure would save on money for future t-days. Besides - being my first track day I wanted to go all out !!!

Look forward to seeing everyone there, and I'm serious about the accommodations - a few bucks and at worst you'll have a cot or floor to sleep on.

Cheers-
