Re: Rossi's new bike (dj_wawa)

What no chrome seat....im dissapointed. Check out those maxxis racing tires, no expense was spared apparently.

Re: Rossi's new bike (seldom57)

Have you priced them? Maxxis SuperMaxx tires aren't significantly cheaper than other sport rubber. Nothing wrong with the way they work, either.

I use Maxxis Supermoto specific tires for racing, and they are the shiznit.

In the rare event your erection lasts for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

To paraphrase one of our fellow Endurance team members:

Ya know... sometimes when my wife is bein' a bitch, I'll take a couple Viagra and really let her have it that night. Problem is now, she's bein' a bitch to me all the time.

How much are a set of their super moto tires. Im running pilot powers on my drz400 right now but i've heard good things about that maxxis rear. My friends run the maxxis iRazrs on their quads and say theres nothing better. I just havent heard anything good about their sport bike tires.

If you hunt around, you can get a set of tires front and rear for $150 (!) I use a medium intermediate front and a soft slick rear. New they stick like a premium slick, Michelin, Dunlop, whathaveyou. They are more sensitive to heat cycles, but go off so gradually that only the stopwatch will really tell you when you need a new set. Once you start using honest to goodness supermoto specific racing tires on your supermoto, you'll never willingly go back to street tires.

The SuperMaxx sport tires held up on My SV650 for three track days without any problems. They are unremarkable insofar as they ride and wear like the other premium street tires they compete with. Maxxis sponsors an endurance road racing team that has had some success. They don't cost any less than Diablos or Pilots, so I don't think they're going to steal too much market share.
