Shessssh... we must wait till Monday according to Asphalt & Rubber...

( Whats his name Mr.Snowmobile thinks Asphalt is butt trouble...)

Let’s avoid the the “scoops”, “exclusives”, and “OMG’s”, and just say that
Asphalt & Rubber
has received word from a trusted source that Valentino
Rossi has signed a two-year agreement with Ducati, that’s set to be
announced on Monday…and boom goes the dynamite (sorry, we couldn’t
resist). The Rossi/Ducati fantasy has been put forth for years, with the
fervor on the subject reaching its pinnacle this season, as Ducati reportedly
wafted a €15 million salary (almost double Yamaha’s offer) in front of the
nine-time World Champion.

Certainly the dream combo for Ducatista around the world. I still have the bet on Lolly winning it in 2011 on the M1. The brain says that's the unbeatable combo....the heart is with Ducati+Rossi.

If Rossi leaves the sweet little M1 , which he believes is HIS bike (designed and tested !) , then he must really be pissed at Yamaha .

if Rossi and Burgess go to Ducati, they will make a winner out of that bike...
The bike has already won a Championship. He just needs to ride it and keep it on two wheels. Of course, if he wins, it'll become the bike "Rossi and Burgess developed" yet again.

Nah I think he sees the potential incredible legacy he can leave, esp. for Italians/Ducati fans - 3 titles on 3 manufacturers and le finale is on the Italian bike. It would be incredible. :clapper

Will Rossi test the new M1 after Brno???

Submitted by David Emmett on Sat, 2010-07-10 12:04.

As a rule, contracts tend to run from January 1st to December 31st.
Technically, this prevents riders from testing if they switch from one
manufacturer to another, but it differs from case to case. When Rossi left
Honda, he was prevented from testing until Jan 1st of the following year, as
it was Rossi's choice to leave. When Hayden's contract with HRC expired,
Honda allowed Hayden to test the Ducati in November, as they did not feel
threatened by such a move.

Whether Ducati will allow Stoner to test the Honda is an open question, but
you can be sure that Yamaha will not allow Rossi to test the Ducati in
November when he leaves. Given the lack of testing time, though, it will not
make a great deal of difference. There are only two days of testing after
Valencia, the next test will probably be in Sepang in February 2011. So any
ban on testing will have a limited effect.

If Rossi does announce his intention to sign with Ducati before Brno, then
he will certainly not be allowed to test the 2011 version of the M1 after
the race there. In fact, unless he has a contract with Yamaha signed
(unlikely though that is), he will almost certainly be kept off the new M1
at Brno.
