I test rode a Rocket last Friday. It was far easier to ride than I had presumed. It was much more maneuverable than I would have guessed, starting and stopping, tight turns were all a breeze.
The motor sounds fantastic... kind of like a cross between a WWII fighter plane's motor and a competitive tractor-pull machine, if that makes any sense. My previous experience on enormous bikes is limited to a test ride on a VTX 1800. The Rocket stomped it in every way... handling, torque, top-end, comfort, finish. It doesn't pull as hard as a supermoto or a hyper bike (CBR-XX, Hayabusa, etc) but it gets up and goes from any speed with just a twist of the wrist.
That night, I had dreams of riding the Rocket III. Maybe I'm a gi-normous cruiser guy at heart?
