Racing Leathers Rain Cover

I have watched some MotoGP races they hold in the rain and have seen the racers wearing what looks like very tight fitting plastic over their race leathers. Does anyone know what that is, or if it is a product that is availible.

If not, what are your suggestions for a rain suit to go over race leathers. Other than trash bags!
Thanks,
George

not sure what they are using... probably custom fitted rain covers.

when I'm racing in the rain I just coat my gear with some waterproofing spray. you can usually find this stuff at walmart in the camping/sporting goods section for about $5 a can. Make sure you use it the day before the races though. The rain just beads off and isn't absorbed by the leather... unless you didn't apply properly or missed a spot!

Thanks for the reply. I had thought about that, but I've got one problem, perforation. My suit is perforated in the front, so I guess I'd still get wet.

I just use a cheap motorcycle rain jacket. I think I paid about $30 for it. It works fine, flaps a bit. I even use it when it's cold to cover the perforations and keep the wind off.

This what you're after? http://www.1tail.com/sa/p/Resp...t.htm

A bit more info on the manufacturers website: http://www.respro.com/popup_slick.php
