Possibly.........but unlike the rc45 the R7 is drop dead gorgeous!!!!!!!
15lb. sledge...

I'd take a sledge hammer to that R7 to get my hands on an RSV4 Factory...I'm just sayin'...

Timeless.
For the guys that have never ridden one on the road you have to be VERY committed, very tall first gear, NOTHING below 10,000/11,000rpm BUT it is a very nice handling bike. My brothers has the wire splice/throttle mod/airbox lid/exhaust system/fuel pump/fuel pressure reg/etc. When you start having a very close look at the bike, you can see it was designed as a racer, shame Haga didn't take the title on it :(

Still better looking than that minger the 999, the poor old 999 fell out of the ugly tree and hit EVERY branch on the way down.

Yamaha YZFR7 OW-O2 1999 2000
52 races 5 wins 0 championships .09% start to win percentile...
New 32,200 used 15,120
Having tried the road bike route with the YZF750 Yamaha abandoned
this as a bad idea and instead opted to create a homologated special
like it had with the OW O1... Enter the OW O2... a true homologated
racer loaded with Ohlins front and rear... the engine had titanium rods
and valves... slipper clutch... and a first for a production Yamaha-fuel
injection... the frame was gleaned from Yamaha's GP knowledge banks...
What a bike!!! Like the RC30 and RC45 everyone wanted an R7... even
though the road bike was sold in restrictive form... it didn't take
much to uncork 135RWHP... If it wasn't for an ill advised diet Haga
could have won the 2000 title... he took 4 wins and second spot after
getting docked 45 points due to use of a banned drug ephedrine...

I've always like the R7; last (racing) 750 and also the best of Yamaha at the time. You can't help but feel like Haga when you are on board one. :clapper

Not me, but fun vid nonetheless.
