I actually like it!! Back seat?

it does not work

its a half assed v-rod

the headlight is shit, the rad cowls are shit, the no definable tank silhouette is shit, the stock cans are shit

if it was reverted to the monster style it was based upon, it would look better. but i guess that wouldnt sell either. ducati usually has love it or hate it styling, and this is worse than the 999, which took 10 years for me to appreciate, which i would still modify with a single vertical narrow rectangular headlight over the the dual rounds.

Expect to see a shitload of these at Laguna 2012.
Whats up with the still shot of Modern Family? I do agree 100% of your assessment of the bike. Shit shit shit.
Oh man, that is just aweful. Its not got enough chrome opportunities for the Harley croud, and where is the rear seat? Kinda the point of having a cruiser to me, is double riding... I am sure, people will still be buying it.
Reminds me a little bit of a V-Max...and not in a good way.
Ugly , contrived "styling" , with all those plastic covers . Even though they're obviously not targeting the traditional cruiser demographic , rather the comparatively small power-cruiser demo , it still won't sell primarily b/c of the chain drive . I wonder if they've retained desmo . I think so b/c I doubt Ducati would create an all new valvetrain for it . A 440 pound , 150 HP drag-bike sounds good but not with high maintenance cam belts . Did I mention it's ugly ?:D
Meh. Still pre-production.

I'll take a grain of salt with the comments on it's appearance if that's OK.

It just doesn't look finished to me.
smell my finger, guess who it is...
Oh man, that is just aweful.
+1 Heinous in every way!:banghead
I'd pretty much guarantee that this thing redefines performance in the cruiser market, but it does nothing for me. I hope it makes them LOTS of money, but BAD time to be rolling out a new cruiser right now.
Ducati finally produces a bike for the old guys at Denny's blowing on their soup... am I right Old Badly???

Awesome!!! Everything riding is NOT about!
:clapper
wow... what a major ****ing screw up this is for Ducati.

hey, plenty asshole out there that will buy this thing.... the question is, will it be so many that Ducati sees this as their money maker and shift directions?
i mean, they're already out of WSBK so what do they care about "race on sunday sell on monday" anymore right?
Personally find it an interesting bike and they could of been done it a bit better, but with some new pipes and a few additions should be a pretty cool fun bike for relaxing.

Then again i am open to the whole cruiser thing though wont be buying one for another 12 years or so.
Ducati is clearly aiming at a whole different demographic. They have to.
Sportsbikes aren't as lucrative as they once were and the whole "naked" segment has been done to the death and margins are lower than ever, especially with the Japanese, Triumph, Aprilia and BMW all churning out new models on a seemingly yearly basis.
The new Multistrada 1200 has been somewhat of a hit sensation, it's only natural they would follow up with more road-oriented models.
Sure this bike has some bits that look low quality (seat, radiator scoops etc) but which brand doesn't do this to save money? Even BMW had to reduce quality on some components to keep prices down (my statement is based on comparing my Hexhead R1200RT with the new Camhead R1200RT).
If they can keep price in the H-D 1200 region they may have a winner on their hands.

I wouldn't worry... Ducati is going back to WSBk with a speedy red V4... hell
Rossi might even race the thing... he is one Gp rider who really likes Superbikes...
