bike will still run, no question about that, but why not do a simple mod
that smooths out the horsepower curve in the 5k rpm range? Dropping
the 270 bucks or so on a PC then not doing that mod?
If you really get into it, the PC is meant to be a programmable/adjustable
add on that allows you to optimize your A/F ratio and fine tune
the engine based on mods/pipes/elevation and all that good jazz. It, shoots in so much gas based on
so much airflow. There is a MAP sensor on the snorkel and another one
on top of the airbox and they both tie into the fuel injection system to
let the PC know how much air there is. Cutting down
the airflow thru the snorkel with the flapper will alter the readings, less air,
less fuel, less power..
Well, that's my theory on it, I'm sure someone knows more about this..
I still say do the mod, plug the hose, get rid of all the vacuum plumbing
chit, and get the 20 dollar block off plate from DK, it cleans up the area
