I am going to get my stock 3 spokes powdercoated black. Is there anything I need to watch out for that may compromise the integrity of the wheel?? I've never had anything powdercoated before so is there anything I need to tell the guy who is going to do it??

Make sure you let the coater know were you donnot want paint, that way he will mask off those area's, not all coaters knows motorcycle parts, also the rubber bushing's is another issue, I have seen discussed on forums, wether or not they can withstand the 350 degree heat to cure the powdercoat, personally I would remove them.Thats a couple issues,I am sure there are other members that can
add some other thoughts.Craig
yep make sure bearings, stems, spacers, everything is removed and tell/show exactly what you dont want coated. :twocents good luck and enjoy the new color
If they will do it let them clear coat them after the powdercoat. I makes for an easier clean up. Otherwise everyone covered the important issues.
if you are going with black skip the clearcoat as it will double the cost. they have to basically powdercoat them twice. the black hide gunk well and is easy to touch up. unless this is a showbike then go with the clear.
