Seems that Barry thinks it's more important to chill out in Chicago with his weather underground homies than attend the ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetary on MEMORIAL DAY for our FALLEN HEROS. What a fookin' SLAP IN THE FACE to EVERYONE who has served our country as well as the family's of the dead. I hope he chokes on a fookin bone, slowly....................FOOK 'em! :wtf

He's also blowing off the Gold Star families breakfast which is particularly distasteful. Personally I am not surprised by this and hopefully anyone that was or is in the military that voted for him will wake up and pay more attention from now on. November is coming....

I remember when slick willie addressed the gathering and over half of the veterans present turned around to show him their backs during his speach, PRICELESS!

PS. the commander 'n douche has been in the Bay Area for 2 days now, on a "fundraising trip" to try to keep Babwa (puke!) Boxer in office (and in lockstep with the SEIU) The dinner was $27,500 per plate and included Quail eggs and goose pate, I wonder what all the unemployed folks had last night.......At any rate, it's turned downtown SF into a major traffic cluster fook. I wonder how much of OUR tax dollars he's pissing away on keeping his homies in office. Can you imagine the OUTRAGE if Bush had been raising money instead of going to N.O. when Catrina hit? But I guess barry gets to play by different rules...........

Uhm, I seem to remember Bush going out west during Katrina. I could be wrong but maybe it's worth looking up.

You know, I don't know what you expect the federal government to do about the oil problem. Booms quickly clog up and get heavy, then more oil goes right over the top of them if there are any waves. It would take forever to build sandbars. Only so many skimmer ships exist and I'll bet they are all headingtoward the gulf. The well is beyond the feds abilities. Dispersants have turned out to be more of a problem than a solution since the oil breaks up and forms giant underwater clouds. They've asked anyone and everyone scientific or industrial for ideas. They've been more of less on top of it if you check the timeline. Obama's been there for the cameras. I don't see any significant problems with the response.

Compare Obamas travelling time with Bush's chainsaw time at the ranch and Obama's fund-raising trip to SF seems pretty tame.

I know what you mean about plugging up traffic. Bush came here once and they completely shut down all roads and side roads for about an hour twice. There were close to 120 cop cars, they would even check the vineyards bordering roads for shooters. Several hellicopters, limos, lots of cops, lots of money...and wasted time in many people's lives.

In the first 36 days after Katrina, Bush visited the gulf coast 7 times. In the first 36 days after this oil leak, Obama has visited the gulf coast once. He might be guilted into a second trip soon, against his own best wishes.

In W's entire presidency, he played golf 24 times. Obama has already played 32 times.

Yes, I know W spent more time on "vacation" than Obama has, but no President is ever on vacation, so I don't know what that means. Bush was working from Texas just like Obama will be working from Chicago. And I really couldn't care less where they are or what they're doing. Just trying to add some perspective.

In any case, skipping the Arlington events this weekend, but returning to DC to see Paul McCartney seems just a little wrong...

Yea maybe you should do that before letting more excrement ooze out of that pie hole.
Here's some truth to ooze into your memory:

From Wiki:
"Vacation as Usual

"On the day after Hurricane Katrina was declared to be not as bad as originally feared, it became clear that the effects of the storm had been, after all, beyond devastation," a New York Times Op-Ed announced August 31, 2005. "But this seems like the wrong moment to dwell on fault-finding, or even to point out that it took what may become the worst natural disaster in American history to pry President Bush out of his vacation."
"George Bush stayed on vacation. He didn't get back to work. When the worst natural disaster in our nation's history attacked us, George Bush STAYED ON VACATION. Why did the federal government stumble so badly on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday? Because on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday, George Bush stayed on vacation in Crawford, Texas. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, vice president Dick Cheney STAYED ON VACATION in Jackson, Wyoming. On Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, Sec. of State Condi Rice WENT ON VACATION in New York City and went to a splashy Broadway musical and bought obscenely expensive shoes. She went shopping," Michael Giltz of AMERICAblogwrote September 5, 2005.
"No need to explain why the President was golfing on Tuesday, playing guitar with country singers on a Tuesday while New Orleans died. Which would be fine if not for the inconvenient fact that the levees were breached on Monday, discovered on Monday, and confirmed on Monday. Monday was the day the levees broke," Izzy wrote September 3, 2005, in the blog Unbossed.
Moreover, "there were no calls for national unity, no experts explaining the state of things, no marshaling of buses and boats and helicopters. Our national leaders were absent. Our national pastimes went on. The experts who were on the news did not speak of the levee, the pumps, the flood, the emergency. They spoke of the revenue, the casinos, the oil, the markets," Izzy added.

Cheney Came Back "Early"

When Cheney was asked by reporter Roger Simon "why he did not return from his vacation earlier than [Thursday, September 1, 2005,] three days after the hurricane hit, the vice president replied: 'I came back four days early.'
"And you can see why Cheney is so testy," Simon wrote in the September 12, 2005, US News & World Report, "He had to miss four days of his vacation to help a bunch of people who probably had never voted Republican in their lives."

Bush Emerged and Made His Worst Speech Ever

On Tuesday, August 30, 2005, while delivering his third speech "in just over a week defending his Iraq policies," while "standing against a backdrop of the imposing USS Ronald Reagan, the newest aircraft carrier in the Navy's fleet," President Bush answered "growing anti-war protests with a fresh reason for American troops to continue fighting in Iraq: protection of the country's vast oil fields that he said would otherwise fall under the control of terrorist extremists."
It was also announced during the speech that, due to the "devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina" in the Gulf Coast, he "was cutting his August vacation short to return to Washington to personally oversee the federal response effort."
However, it was not until the following day, on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, long past the time when Katrina had arrived, struck New Orleans, and moved inland away from the Gulf Coast, that President Bush actually made even a cursory 35-minute flyover in Air Force One to view the devastation in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama."

In the first 36 days after Katrina, Bush visited the gulf coast 7 times. In the first 36 days after this oil leak, Obama has visited the gulf coast once
From Wiki:

"On August 29, Katrina's storm surge caused 53 different levee breaches in greater New Orleans submerging eighty percent of the city. A June 2007 report by the American Society of Civil Engineers indicated that two-thirds of the flooding were caused by the multiple failures of the city's floodwalls.[31] Not mentioned were the flood gates that were not closed. The storm surge also devastated the coasts of Mississippi and Alabama, making Katrina the most destructive and costliest natural disaster in the history of the United States, and the deadliest hurricane since the 1928 Okeechobee Hurricane. The total damage from Katrina is estimated at $81.2 billion (2005 U.S. dollars), nearly double the cost of the previously most expensive storm, Hurricane Andrew, when adjusted for inflation.[2][32]
The confirmed death toll (total of direct and indirect deaths) is 1,836, mainly from Louisiana (1,577) and Mississippi (238).[1][33] However, 135 people remain categorized as missing in Louisiana,[1] and many of the deaths are indirect, but it is almost impossible to determine the exact cause of some of the fatalities. The relative lack of status, power, and resources put many women at risk of being sexually assaulted during Hurricane Katrina.[34]
Federal disaster declarations covered 90,000 square miles (233,000 km²) of the United States, an area almost as large as the United Kingdom. The hurricane left an estimated three million people without electricity. On September 3, 2005, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff described the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as "probably the worst catastrophe, or set of catastrophes," in the country's history, referring to the hurricane itself plus the flooding of New Orleans.[35]"

Read that bold and then think about the Deepwater Horizon. How do the two compare? Other than being in the same region, they don't.

Just settle down and take a deep breath, everone. What we have now is a bunch of oil in the water, fouling the shore, and a blowout that may run for months, years or decades. Stopping the blowout is a near impossibility. The oil in the water is too vast to do much about. Whatever oil is on the beach is not going anywhere. There is no immediate need to cleaning up today or even tomorrow. What's the point when there is 100,000% more to come? Cleanup is a long-term problem. We may be cleaning up fresh deposits for 20 years. Just face it people - the gulf coast is going to be a dead zone for a long time.

The moaners you see on TV are idiots. They deserve to be pissed about how this happened but from then on it is sort of a moot point. They are crying out for help because they are undergoing an emotional reaction that is totally out of whack with what can and should be done. There are not masses of stranded people down there, shooting and looting and sitting on rooftops! For gods sack:)D ), get a grip on yourself Carville and Matlin! You're sounding like hysterical housewives. It's a terrible, terrible thing but when you think about it honestly there is not a lot that can be done. The President's going there is little more than sticking a pacifier in the mouths of locals who feel hopeless. Not that he shouldn't go. By all means he needs to be there probably more than he has been but really it makes little difference. What would make a difference is if the media did some research and found out facts about what is being done instead of spreading rumours and endless questions. I don't watch much TV anymore because it is a waste of time but when I have checked on this catastrophe I NEVER hear them tell us what IS being done. All they have is questions and hysterical interviews. Do some legwork you morons! They never do their job, do they? Uh, oops, I forgot, they are doing their job. They are running an entertainment business and facts settle people down. Lack of facts stirs emotions - so they run with it. CNN, FUX, MSNBC, CNBC, etc. = part of the problem.

Hey dickhead, Bush isnt the president anymore, Hussein Obama is. Take the penis from your mouth, his balls are blinding you. Husseins "change" is no different than those that preceded him, you suckers just bought into it. And it well maybe worse than those before him.

The sheep sure are easily lead.

In case you didn't notice, rob from suck cock, XFBO and Bassinator felt a need to defend Bush's track record so I had to call them on it.
There have been many changes. But with the MMS and the cozy relationship with oil companies it appears that nonsense still persists. I think Congress will need to take a very serious look at what exactly has been going on with inspections - along with everything else that involves this mess. Obviously, gifts and other perks to inspectors is a no-brainer no-no. How the hell they ever got away with that I don't have a clue. Probably has something to do with the lackadaisical enforcecment/pro business attitude of the previous administration though. I'll bet on that.

Are you kidding me!? Using Wiki (gag!) pedia as a factual record of ANYTHING is a fookin' joke. Why don't you drag out Keith (puke) Olberrmann and the rest of the "progressives" at MSNBC to bolster yer point......barry is an epic fail, even his own party is starting to distance themselves, watch what happens with the Sustek debacle.............offering someone a CABINET POSITION to someone who himself say's he's NOT QUALIFIED for in exchange for DROPPING OUT of the Senate race so one of his minions can stay in office. There is NO WAY barry's gonna squirm outa this one, as even if (probably) ram (***!) emmenuel was the go between, as a cabinet level position was involved, barry would be REQUIRED to approve, yeah, change we can believe in.......BULLSHITE!

No. Are you saying those aren't the facts?
No wonder you liked Bush. You didn't even know he was on a one-month vacation - one of many vacations. Be thankful some of us pay attention to what our elected reps are doing.

Hey, sleepy Ronnie Reagan planned the same thing back in 1981. Better put this one to rest coRky. It ain't goin' nowhere. Tell us, why are you even concerned about what is going on in Democratic circles? Seems kinda strange. And you are aware that Sestek is a strong candidate who probably had a better chance of winning than Specter, aren't you? It's like Obama was trying to do Republicans a favor.

..."Daddy, have YOU stopped the leak yet?"
After hearing the whining on televison over the past couple of weeks I can imagine half the people on the gulf coast and in the media saying this. It's like, what do you think Obama is, god? Funny how some people think government is worthless until they find themselves in over their heads.

Hey, Rocky, I heard that Obama was not even aware of what was going on with Sestak. Gee, I guess that ended with a fizzle. Hey, maybe Pubs should spend fifty miilion taxpayer dollars to investigate it. Maybe Ken Starr is available.

Looks like you need to bone up on your presidential history there, coRky. Seems that Reagan went to Arlington on four out of eight years. Before Reagan no one went to Arlington - Reagan started the modern routine. H. W. Bush didn't go at all and sent Dan Quayle in his place one year, just like Obama is doing with Biden. And Obama isn't chillin' wi' his homeys. He spoke at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetary (Lincoln was a Republican if that matters to your simple mind).

Gee, you got yourself all worked up over another nothing. Just because Heir Beck ACTS outraged doesn't mean you need to. Poor coRky.

How's that Obama/Sestak investigation coming?:D

As a matter of fact, the Sestak debacle is growing nicely, geee, after a MONTH goes by to work on an answer, and they still step on their own dick! Emanuel say's only he spoke with slick willie, however for a cabinet level position (secty. of the Navy) requires a Presidential OK. Looks like the FBI is in on it now, the can't trust Holder anymore............This should get interesting.......Like I was saying, "change we can believe in, YEAH RIGHT! :banghead And now the debacle with Israel, can barry fook ANYTHING else up?

Obama will commemorate Memorial Day in Illinois ceremony

Obama will speak at veterans cemetery; Biden to lay wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. A White House press release states: "On Monday, the President will participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Also on Monday, the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will host a breakfast for Gold Star Families at the White House. Afterwards, the Vice President and Dr. Biden will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery." Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery is dedicated as a national cemetery within the VA's National Cemetery Administration. [WhiteHouse.gov, 5/24/10]
Previous presidents have honored Memorial Day away from Arlington Cemetery

1983: Reagan attended summit meeting; Defense Department official Thayer laid wreath at Arlington. Deputy Secretary of Defense W. Paul Thayer laid a wreath at Arlington Cemetery during the Memorial Day ceremony in 1983, according to a May 31, 1983, Washington Post article (retrieved from the Nexis database). The Associated Press reported that President Reagan attended a "summit meeting in Williamsburg, Va., with leaders of the industrialized democracies."
1992: George H.W. Bush allowed VP Quayle to lay wreath. In 1992, Vice President Dan Quayle laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, according to a May 26, 1992, Boston Globe article (from Nexis). The Globe reported that President George H.W. Bush attended a wreath-laying ceremony and made brief remarks at an American Legion hall in Kennebunkport, Maine, where he also played a round of golf.
2002: George W. Bush spoke at commemoration in Normandy. On May 27, 2002, President George W. Bush spoke at a Memorial Day commemoration in Normandy, France.

Beck falsely claims Obama will not "honor our troops" on Memorial Day | Media Matters for America

Looks like you need to brush up somewhat yourself. The only one I have a problem with was Bush Sr doing what he did in 1992.

Do I? I don't see anything in your post that contradicts my post. Good job.:clapper

What is it about Arlington that obsesses you sheep? Aren't there something like 11 National Cemetaries? Obama was at one of them on Memorial Day. Isn't that good enough for your needy egos? Ignoring all the men buried in those othre cemetaries seems a bit retarded, IMO.

Our new Louisiana poll has a lot of data points to show how unhappy voters in the state are with Barack Obama's handling of the oil spill but one perhaps sums it up better than anything else- a majority of voters there think George W. Bush did a better job with Katrina than Obama's done dealing with the spill.
