sounds like Italian Ducatista are pretty peeved at Rossi, blaming him for Ducatis pull out of SBK.
Ducati swears up and down thats not why they pulled out. Of course, they would never publicly admit they're paying Rossi so much, they cant run a SBK team. Personally i doubt that the few millions more Rossi might be getting, a few more than Stoner, is enough to make Ducati shut down an entire SBK operation. You'd think Ducati has a little more money than that.

Top left: Without SBK Ducati is worth less (a pun on Rossi's nickname)
Top Right: Ducati Dies-Ducati Shame on You-Tardozzi 15 Marinelli 0-Ducati SBK, 22 years in smoke- Ducati 20 years of glory thanks to Feel Racing
Bottom left: Ducati with the Red: better drink 21 Bayliss (again a pun on the popular Bailey Irish Cream)

its more of a funny report than anything any would take seriously. They will all get over it as soon as Rossi starts winning in red.
I do hope they find a way and Rossi wants to run a few wild card run in WSBK. That would be great to watch,

What is worthless is putting your MotoGp race bike into production and failing to
fill out the paper work to homologated it... after all they made the required
amount... just think Haga would have been fighting with an equal competitive 4
cylinder machine without silly intake restrictors...

They aren't stupid, you can't sell a $70,000 machine in mass numbers.
They couldn't even sell the ones they made. It was an epic failure by those who made them and those who bought them. Like watching someone burn $20k in depreciation the day they picked it up.

Love the made-up anger at Rossi. :D

Wonder how much money paid to Rossi will actually come from Ducati's pockets? Very little I imagine.
He had to pull strings from his friends at Fiat to get that sponsorship. I don't understand why everyone says he has sponsors lined up at the door? He's had to take tobacco/alcohol money from Nastro/Camel/Gauloise/Marlboro even though he's a stout tobacco hater. What does that tell you? He comes with a hefty price in bad times. He better be walking around with a pack of Marlboros huffing like a chimney and thanking them daily.:woot:

Yeah they're upset now but if he wins many races next season then they will change their attitudes. That's just how wishy washy people are!

Ducati V4 Desmocedici HP at 8000 RPM = ~ 75 HP
Ducati V2 1098R..............at 8000 RPM = ~ 135HP.

Ducati V4 Desmocedici HP at 10000 RPM= ~ 130 HP
Ducati V2 1098R...............at 10000 RPM =~ 160HP.

The twin DOMINATES the smaller V4 at every RPM from idle to it's redline.

Why the **** would a street rider want LESS power in his normal, usable, street riding RPM range.......it's beyond me to comprehend such idiocy.

Someone would want to give up the 60 (SIXTY!) HP advantage at 8000 RPM for the 16 HP at 13800 RPM??????? Lunacy. Squidly, dyno chart spec reading lunacy....

God not this sh*t again (IE: Why the F*CK does Larry destroy ever thread). Ride what you like. Hell I wouldn't have a problem with a V4 or a Harley in my garage but would i go into every thread posted and say they rule? Hell no.

Its more clear everyday why Barry picked the name Old Baldy... MotoGp
V4s are not for the old guys at Dennys blowing on their soup... they
are for the consummate rider who wants excitement in their ride...

What's sad is that even though Larry is on ignore, and even though Old Baldy was kind enough not to quote him, I still know that he is in here, ruining another thread.
