Thinking about doing a track day there in October. Anyone have any experience on the track? What is the track surface like? How does it compare to VIR or Summit Point?

tons of grip. bring medium tires because it eats soft's. maybe beginner would be ok. should add its an easy track to get up to a decent speed but has a bunch of little things to really get going. alot of fun too. T1 is much faster then it looks and will probably take a bunch of laps to figure out where to come over the hill at. T2/3 take as 1 big decreasing radius turn. T5 the blind right dont get too greedy on the gas, i did last race and slid the rear to the grass on the exit. the long right just keep going thru the gears towards the bridge. T7 the left seems to be where alot of people run off, start with braking at the bridge till you figure it out. light bulb turn there's lots of options where to go. get in a little hot, double apex it but mid track seems to be normal line. towards the end start coming down to the inside curbing, let the bike drift toward the outside coming out then aim to the inside at the top of the hill onto the straight.

+1 to what doug said.

the surface is really good compared to vir and summit. there are some bumps coming onto the front straight, but they may be off-line since it seems that i'm the only one that notices them.

It's a way different animal then both.

Watch the off-camber hill on T-5 (?) and stay towards the apex, or be relatively upright on the throttle. Don't get scared by the bridge and the left-hander after. The bowl is on camber and will take full-throttle, everytime.

Enjoy
