Brand new in the box, never mounted Cheetah Corsa-style 998 race bodywork. Includes upper, left and right sidepanel, belly pan, tailsection, front fender, and oversized air ducts. Ducts work with stock airbox. This bodywork is identical to the 748/916/996 bodywork, but instead of the large "scoop" vent in the middle of each side fairing, it has a small vent cut-out near the frame as on the street 998 for better aerodynamics. Fits all 748/916/996/998 Superbikes. Retail price on this bodywork is $1,049. Cheetah bodywork is virtually identical in construction and appearance to Sharkskinz, and did very well in the latest Roadracing World bodywork comparison test. $750 plus shipping. anywhere i can see pics? will it fit a 748R? i know those have larger airboxes. im thinking of doing my rebuild to my own liking and not stock.

I got a body set from Cheetah and they sent me the side panels with the big scoops that will not fit on my 2004 998S. Would you have the upper and lower, right and left side fairing that will fit my bike and attach to my belly pan properly?

Sorry, the Cheetah bodywork sold long ago. Why don't you return your parts and get the proper ones? If you want to run 996 bodywork on your 998, you either have to cut the scoops out, or you can move your coils inboard. The later is the easiest solution.

Thanks for the info Mark, I was thinking about cutting out the scoops but the real problem is that the lowers will not attach to my belly pan in any way. Mine has 3 Dzus fasteners on each side and the Cheetah has only one. It does not even line up with the radiator cover piece. I guess i will try and return them or sell them and start over.

I see auctions on Ebay for $685, all the time for the Cheetah race fairings with:

Upper with large ram air duct openings,
Ram Air Ducts (that fit the large air duct opening in the upper and the standard air box),
Left and Right side panels,
Front Fender,
Supersport Tail section (uses stock seat),
Bellypan and
a support piece for the tail section

That auction, is from the manufacturer of the bodywork...he also has a street set from time to time.
