considering we're talking about kalifornia i would consider yourself lucky...they're not wanting to seize/confiscate your car or bike.

FYI: Effective today January 1, 2005 a new law here in Cali is in effect. If you are caught street racing, it is now a mandatory 1 day in jail, 40 hours of community service, AND drivers license suspension for 6 months.
I am sure most LEO's will be looking for "Import Draggers", but it is still scary to think that if you and a friend are slightly over the posted limit and happen to be by eachother, what you can possibly be facing.

That's not including that your bike will be impounded, plus the legal fees to fight it, plus what your insurance company would do to you.

This kind of has me thinking now. So if I take off kind of quick from a light (like most of us here probably do), and the idiot next to me thinks I am racing him and tries to keep up, then I am screwed if a LEO misinterprets what is REALLY happening?
