I'm on the fence about having my engine case cover vented by Ben Fox as well. The main concern I have before doing it is noise. Is there a drastic increase in clutch noise over an open clutch cover??? I know there will be more, but I guess I want to know how much more.

Anyone?

I'm slacking. I decided to ride instead. On another note, today I rode our S4R, our Boxer Cup BMW and our MV Agusta SPR in addition to putting some miles on my bike. Kind of like Spring cleaning. My job is torture. I highly advise that you never ride an Agusta. Now I have to buy another bike
. Duc for the street, MV for the track
!

Damn!

I see that you are also running open belts. Ever have any issues on the belts or clutch being that open?

And where did you pick up your clutch cover? I like they look of it. Thinking of going this route like yours or the route of Mental998's.

no problem at all. but that might be cuz the bike's still in the basement!! hahahaah!!!
but seriously... i've always run an open clutch without issue. i haven't run open belts yet but have heard by very many accounts that chances of a problem are very low. i don't ride on gravel or dirt roads so i'm not terribly concerned about a rock getting jammed into the rollers or whatever.

norm made it to fit across the center of the clutch. i cut it up and rewelded it to fit just the edge as a "toe guard". this will provide zero protection in a fall. just there to keep my big feet out of the clutch.

Mine is an STM Ti guard. Sometimes hard to find, but they're around.
