Ok so I have had the bike for six years now and have only changed the tires once and now will be the second time. They are currently the stock size and I wanted to go with a 190/55. I have all stock suspension and was wondering how much suspension work I would need to do to make this tire work well. I weigh 180lbs.

I live in CNY so I carve canyons during the summer and ride the interstate to work as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Any tire types would help as well.

i can say i run 190/55 on my 10r and rc51, i like the easier turn in. since i bought the bike and immediately put the 190/55 on it and had the suspension dialed in, not sure how "off" it all was.

but i did go from a 50 to a 55 on the 10r and did my first ride at the track. i immediately felt the bike was ass end high and unstable and brought it in after 2 laps. after some adjustments etc. all is well.

i'd put it on and see what you notice but it'll be best to get it looked at.

And at the very least, get a 180/55-17 before the 190/50!
