...got me a pair of SIDI Vertigo Corse boots and a pair of Held Akira gloves for my birthday yesterday. I used to read about some guys had wifes that would buy them stuff motorcycle related and thought how good that would be to have somebody who was like that. I was right, it is good.

Yeah, she's cool with those since I sold enough stuff on eBay that the money for them is in my PayPal account just waiting for Jason to tell me they are in.

My wife's cool too. Got my second Ducati in late 2004, a 95 916. Bought a track day last week for my birthday. I'll be buying an enclosed trailer here pretty soon. I came home with the 916 and bought the track day without telling her and I'm still in the house, top that!

Re: My wife...... (Phil 998)

Happy birthday.

My wife has some wierd superstition that prevents buying footware. She tell me if you buy some one shoes or boots you want them to walk away from you.

So I have to buy my own boots.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I can't wait for the MotoGP event at Laguna this year, we all have to pick a time and a location to get together just to put faces to the names.

Well Phil, there will be a pretty serious Barbecue in Salinas on Friday with a nice selection of California wines and fine Beer to loosen up the inhibitions and allow people to actually meet the Ass from The RC Boards.

Sure hope you can make it.

Since I am staying in Salinas and haven't forgotten your original invite, the BBQ is at the top of my list of things to do when I get there. I also see through the "ass" personna too. As long as somebody is a "real" motorcyclist, you go above and beyond to help.
