check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1
who buys a bike like this, an extra set of wheels/tires, all the other parts and then accumulates 7 miles in 5 years?
"hey, that shiny yellow thing is nice. is there more stuff i can buy with it?" then what? ride it home (maybe) and say "that's enough of that!" and park it for 5 years? how could this happen?

Re: more e-bay silliness? (mikeinwi.)

Why not? I've had my bike for 4 years now...during 2 of those years I was posted overseas for work and so no riding. In the 4 years, I've put on less than 15K km on it.

Re: more e-bay silliness? (e240)

I've had mine for 4+ years and only have 3800 miles on it.
But, if you notice, the pic showing the instrument cluster is so small/bad you can't see the odometer. I'm not saying, I'm just saying...

Because the ad says the guy didn't have the time to ride it. It's all bullshit anyway, stainless exhaust pipes only turn golden color after MILES, not age. Seven miles my ass, and the front brake discs? No, this guy just detailed it and probably bought a zero mile speedo off eBay. I've got a 996 in my garage right now I did some work on that has a new half system on it, and the owner rode it fifteen miles to my house and the pipes are bright silver, my 998 with thousands of miles aren't as dark as the exhaust on the eBay bike.

Check out the sellers other items... A dodge viper and a harley road king. His feedback score is at 2 with the latest transaction being last year. Don't think I would trust this auction.

I think you're right, this was my 998 when I first got it, but the pipes looked the same when they bought it back

notice up by the slip-ons it's still silver
though, it could just be the lighting, mine do look kind of gold

7 miles is a bit unbelieveable. Maybe if it's a leftover that he bought in the attempts to flip the vehciles.

Then again, can't say that I don't know people with more money than time or brains who go out and purchase vehicles and all the goodies, then find they can't use it because of lack of time or experience so there they sit. Gathering dust.

Re: (Heist)

It may have been his first bike and scared him. You know one of those guys that doeds his comparative shopping by asking..."how fast does this one go...how fast does THIS one go...Well how fast does THIS ONE go?
