Alright here's the deal, i hope someone can help. My mistress (00 RC with 16K on her) simply will not run. I got her last September and quickly put 4500 trouble free miles on her when she went to the stable for the winter, over winter i sold the high mount Two Brothers exhaust. She doesn't have a PCIII, simply the pair/flapper mod and i just threw on a set of low mount Sato's about 200 miles ago. I took her for a ride today, nothing out of the ordinary... I filled up with gas and hit the road, 17 miles later exiting a corner she died. I didn't see any FI light, though i wasn't looking for one. She would start up but would quickly die right away as i added throttle. She is home in the stable now, torn apart. I have checked all fuses, all wires, disconnected every connection in the tail i could find and still she barely comes to life, and when given throttle above 1500 rpms i see an FI light and she dies... Any help is greatly appreciated!

A number of extra things for you to check:

Battery. How old is it? Are the terminals well fastened in place?

30A PGM-FI fuse. Check the red (positive) cable going to the battery. On some rare occasions the aforementioned cable may pull the fuse very slightly from the holder resulting in loss of electrical power.

Alarm. Have you got one fitted? If so it may be time to junk the thing.

Fuel system. Since you mentioned you just filled 'er up bad fuel seems pretty obvious. Drain and replace fuel. If everything else fails you may want to run a fuel flow test (to check for a clogged fuel filter).

Have you pulled a spark plug to see how it is?

Bike doesn't stay running when i rev it. I can start it, and let it idle without the choke and it will run at idle, add throttle and the FI light blinks once and she dies. If i start her with the choke pulled, she will start/rev up and die.

I dont have an alarm on her. I pulled all fuses and reinstalled them. I was thinking bad gas as well? But she doesn't spit or sputter? Not sure how old battery is? I'll pull a plug tonight.

Don't know if it will help, but mine did the exact same thing and it ended up being the fuel pressure regulator. FWIW.
