I have been poking around and see you haven't had any moderators or admins for a while. I am new to the site and don't know a great deal of it's history other than what I have found in the archives. There are some great threads and it looks like there was a pretty good little forum here at one time.

I am a volunteer admin on two other motorcycle sites Vertical Scope owns and with no staff here I offered to help out at this site however you guys need. I will be cleaning out all the spam and giving the forum back to it's members. I'll also be on at least daily & likely much more so let me know if there is anything you need. I created a new members section and a thread there to introduce myself .

Out side of that...what do you think the forum needs? What do you think the forum doesn't need? I'd like to tailor the site to what the community wants or needs so input here is always welcome.

Speedzilla died a hard death. A few of the subforums like the RC-51 still trundle along. Best thing to do would be prune everything that is dead so it does not look like a Zombie site. Don't know why I decided to come back today it has not changed in years.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, when I first arrived the spam posts were brutal. It does need some more deep cleaning. The RC51 seems to be the bike of choice for those who stuck around - you are right. At this point I've trimmed a bit, hopefully we can just get some posts so new members will actually post to give us some momentum. We get 3 or 4 legitimate new members a week, the other 20 to 30 are spam.

As we talked about, I think a big portion is a lot of those folks from way back when have just gotten old and moved onto bikes which don’t require “the pretzel position”, or like me had to sell all our toys to keep the ends met (and ourselves alive with these bat-crap crazy cagers).

If we could get some innovators back as sponsors, or even as contributors, it would probably inject some life. Was ogling at Streetfighters after we talked and …man, that new V4 looks SICK. But good gravy, that’s a lot of power for not a lot of tire - especially if an area has garbage roads. Unfortunately the RC and a lot of the bikes focused on here back then (the v-twin sport bikes) have been rendered obsolete by the “it ain’t s*** if it don’t got 300hp” crowd. Hopefully shifting focus toward attracting some track-day riders (is that still a thing?) and the new generation of H2 and ZX-37 (exaggerating…) fans will inject some life back into this place.

Yeah, you aren't wrong Pozz. I've sold bikes to pay for kids tuition & disappeared from sites for a couple years till I had something in the garage again. There's an ebb and flow to traffic on these sites and it hit a spot where there was no flow to refill. The site has to get new members on that topic or it's focus has to shift a little.
